Assignment 6-The Pledge of Allegiance

I struggle with students each year to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.  It was easier when I was married.  My husband was a Viet Nam veteran and had been a POW.  He was always at the school helping with yearbook activities and my students loved and respected him. He was plague with medical problems --all from the war.

Here's another students story about the pledge.

Write a persuasive essay on why or why not the pledge should be recited in school.  Support you essay with facts.
