Comprehension: What is the function of a  “sacred song”?

Application: How are the two songs similar?

Analysis: Why do these songs use repetition?

Analysis: What general conclusions can you make about nature and the universe from the songs?

Analysis: How would you distinguish between Native Americans’ early oral tradition and their approach to the songs and stories today?

Analysis: Compare and contrast the techniques used and the attitudes of modern hunters with those in “Hunting Song”?
